Revealing the Fourth Community Card at the Turn of Texas Holdem

Just as the different players are always active and alert while the developments of the Texas Holdem poker game slowly unravel in front of them, so too must the dealer have the same alertness and present-mindedness in staying up with what is transpiring. This shows how demanding the task of dealing Texas Holdem really is.

People may not easily notice how hard it really is to become a dealer, but to become one entails a really hard and difficult task. But there is nothing to worry for once they get to know how things usually go for dealers, they would soon realize that this task is indeed easy to understand, learn and master. All it takes for people to become good dealers are constant practice, patience and determination to learn the task at hand.

Upon learning how the different cards are to be delivered in the first two rounds of the Texas Holdem poker game, it is time to move on further with another crucial betting round. The pre-flop and flop betting rounds are immediately followed by the turn. Before the turn betting round is to be opened, the dealer will have the task of burning another card. This card needs not to be exposed to the players but is simply to be disposed from the game.

The dealer should take careful consideration and attention to this part of the game for it can easily be forgotten, especially when the events heat up. And then again, the action would continue as this task is to be finished. After burning a card to open the turn, the dealer would then have the responsibility of opening the fourth of five community cards.

After the fourth community is to be opened and be revealed for all the remaining players to see, another betting round will take place. The players will then have the option of checking, calling the bets, folding, or even raising the bets. Those who fold cannot continue with the game because they will be automatically eliminated. Meanwhile, those who were able to check, call or raise the bets before them can still continue up to the next betting round which is called the river.

The turn is a very crucial round in Texas Holdem poker. Most of the players usually fold at this point of the game. However, there are still lots of situations where the game has to reach the river betting round or even a showdown. Dealing in a Texas Holdem poker game is much easier if the dealers are equipped with the right information to take control and handle the games.
